Born in 1991, Dina Duma is a Macedonian film director. She graduated film and TV directing at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje in 2014 and in 2016 was selected at Berlinale Talents. Her debut feature film “Sisterhood” premiered in East of the West Competition at Karlovy Vary International Film Festival 2021 and won the Special Jury Prize.
“Sisterhood” represented North Macedonia at the Oscars 2022 as Best Foreign Language Film and is the first Macedonian film ever available on Netflix. Dina is currently developing her new film, “Skateboarding is not for Girls” selected by The Residence- Festival de Cannes 2022.
Erenik Beqiri studied at the Academy of Arts, Tirana where he graduated with a Master degree in Film Directing. His thesis was “Seed Money“, a short film written by Jim Uhls (“Fight Club“). He has participated in the Sarajevo Talent Campus as a Screenwriter, where he developed the short script “Reverse“ which was produced a year later for the Sarajevo City of Film. “Reverse“ collected awards for best film at the Drama ISFF and Cinematic Achievement award at Thessaloniki ISFF. In 2013 he wrote and directed the short film “Alphonso” which screened in festivals such as Vancouver International Film Festival and Brussels ISFF, among others. His next short film “Bon Appétit” was nominated for Melies D’Argent at Brussels International Fantastic Film Festival, selected in Haapsalu, Dokufest, Lund and many more. His short film “The Van” was in the official competition in Cannes Film Festival.
Gabriele Brunnenmeyer is a script mentor, project consultant, and pitching coach. She has been an artistic advisor for the Maia Workshops, consultant for Kuratorium Junger Deutscher Film, developing events including Connecting Cottbus, IDM Film Conference Incontri, and currently MDM’s Meet Your Neighbour in Leipzig. Alongside consulting on script development, packaging, and pitching for individual projects, she consults for the First Films First script development programme, MIDPOINT Feature Launch, MIDPOINT Shorts, Interfilm Script Pitch, Berlinale and Sarajevo Talents, Baltic Pitching Forum, FilmProSeriesEA, Cannes Court Metrage among many others.
