GORJAN ATANASOV

Official Competition Jury

Gorjan Atanasov is a film and TV video editor from Skopje, Macedonia. After graduating Film and TV editing at FDU Skopje, he moved to London for an MA postproduction course at the MetFilm School. As an editor, in the past decade he has worked on dozen short films and several feature-length documentaries and TV films. Over the years, he has worked as a mentor for various youth documentary film workshops, and is part of the creative documentary festival MakeDox for a long time. Currently, in addition to working on side film projects, he is chief editor and head of production at the Investigative Reporting Laboratory (IRL), where he works on socially engaged documentary and TV projects.

Rohan Berry Crickmar is a film producer and festival programmer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. He currently works as Development Producer with LS Productions and produces with his own company EWDIM Productions. He has produced the EdinburghIFF 2022 premiering documentary “The Tomorrow That’ll” Come and coproduced the documentary feature “Little Warrior” with BAFTA Breakthrough director, Paul Sng, as well as Zaina Erhaim’s account of her experiences in Syria as a female reporter during the civil war, “Our Feminine Wars”.
As a festival programmer he has over a decade of experience working with festivals like Africa in Motion, Edinburgh IFF and Cork IFF.

MINA DJUKIC

Mina Djukic was born 1982 in Sombor. She lived in Kula until 2001, when she moved to Belgrade. She graduated at Faculty of Drama Arts and teaches Digital Filmmaking at SAE Institute in Belgrade.

Mina wrote and directed award-winning “The Disobedient” (2014), which was presented at over 20 international festivals, including Sundance and Rotterdam. Screen International called the film “beautiful” and “a flamboyant lyric tale”, especially pointing out the film’s strong emotions and cinematography. With her production company Film House Kiselo Dete, she also produced “Tilva Ros” (2010) by Nikola Lezaic, “A Handful of Stones” (2017) by Stefan Ivancic and a short documentary “Yugo, A Short Autobiography” (2010), which she directed. She co-produced “The Black Pin” (2016) by Ivan Marinovic and “Year of The Monkey” (2018) by Vladimir Blazevski. Recently, Mina directed two tv series “Mom and Dad are playing war” (2022) and “The Visit” (2023).
She is in the final stage of pre-production of her next film “When the Kids sing the hits”. She attended Cinemart, Trieste Pitch Forum and Torino Film Lab Extended with this project.

Gentian Koci was born in 1979 in Tirana, Albania. He graduated from the Academy of Film and Multimedia Marubi in 2009 with a degree in film and television directing. He has worked for nearly a decade as a news camera operator for TV Klan, a national television channel in Tirana. His short fiction and documentary films have participated in several national and international film festivals and have won several awards.
In 2017, Gentian Koci presented his first feature film, “Daybreak”, which he wrote, directed, and produced. “Daybreak” had its world premiere at the Sarajevo International Film Festival in the main competition, where the main actress was awarded Heart of Sarajevo’s Best Actress. Gentian Koci’s second feature film “A cup of coffee and new shoes on” (2022), had its world premiere in the main competition at Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival. It was screened at several festivals and won several awards, including the Golden Sun for the best film in the SEE selection at last year’s Cinedays. It was also the official representation of Albania for the Academy Awards – Oscars 2023.Gentian Koci has also been a member of the jury at many international film festivals.

IVICA DIMITRIJEVIC

Ivica Dimitrijevic was born in 1984 in Kumanovo, Macedonia. He graduated acting at The Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Skopje in 2007 in the class of Vlado Cvetanovski. After graduation, he started working in the National Theatre, Kumanovo and from 2012 he relocated to Skopje, as part of the Macedonian National Theater acting team. Also, he has strong connections and work with the independent scene and he is a part of Franz von Strolchen collective. He is taking an active role in many of the drama plays on stage and acting in a number of movies, TV series, short films and commercials.
Since 2017 together with Martin Ivanov they established independent movie production MI Film, working as a director, producer with the aim to demonopolize and initiate changes in the film making practice.
Ivica is passionate about playing guitar and has been on stage with many post-punk and rock and roll bands. At the moment he is actively playing with RIB and SIZ.
Besides acting as his main profession, he’s been restless in other fields such as directing, art performance and social activism by co-founding a nonprofit cultural organization.
