Jovana Gjorgjiovska is a critic, founder and coordinator of Gledaj.mk, a platform for film and theatre criticism founded in 2018, whose main focus is development of critical thinking in the field of culture. Gjorgjiovska has participated in international workshops for film criticism in Italy, BiH, Belgium and Poland, and was also a jury member for film criticism at CINEDAYS (2018), the young FIPRESCI jury at the Warsaw Film Festival (2022) and the professional jury for TV series at the Sarajevo Film Festival (2021-2023). So far, she has published critical reviews for FIPRESCI, ION Cinema, Duart.hr, photogenie, Cultured, Festivalists, EasternKicks, Portret, Sloboden Pecat and others.
Yoana Pavlova is a Bulgarian critic, curator, educator, independent researcher, and occasionally an artist who has been based in France since 2011. Founder of Festivalists.com, a platform for experimental media criticism, she explores digital arts and culture in the form of text, visuals, and through analogue materials. Mentor at various European programs for aspiring film critics and journalists, she also contributed to PrtScn: The Lazy Art of Screenshot (Institute of Network Cultures, 2022), Cinemas of Paris (St Andrews Film Studies, 2016), Eastern Promises (Festival Internacional de Cine de Donostia – San Sebastián, 2014), The Bulgarian Nouvelle Vague (1 Magazine, 2012).
Marcel Maiga was born in Berlin. After high school he studied German literature from 1987-1989 in his country-of-origin Mali, followed by French and Russian literature & linguistic studies at Freie Universitat Berlin. Since 1995 he is working at film festivals in Germany (Berlinale, Cottbus, DOK Leipzig) and other countries as program coordinator, program adviser and curator. In 2019 he started to work at German Films as its Eastern European Representative.
