“Storytelling: How can we build solid narratives for films?”
Prof. Savaş Arslan
Bahçeşehir University, Istanbul
We communicate by telling stories. Narratives are crucial for our daily conversations or for delivering any message. This workshop will first introduce the ways in which we form narratives across different media and then focus on the basic elements of storytelling in cinema. In this, we will be touching on a myriad of topics including: story world, structure and types of narratives, and the openings and themes of stories.
