Like every year, at the festival’s closing ceremony we announce the awards. This year, the awards went to:
The film “Humidity” by Nikola Ljuca got the “Golden Star” award for Best Film in the Official selection at the Festival of European Film Cinedays 2016.
The awards tonight were announced by the jury consisted of Cedomir Kolar, one of the exceptional producers in the Hollywood film industry and chairman of the jury, Zrinko Ogresta, screenwriter and director, professor of film directing at the Academy of Dramatic Arts in Zagreb and member of the European Film Academy in Berlin and the Macedonian director Igor Ivanov – Izi.
Attila Till received the award for Best Director for the film “Killers on wheels”, and the film “Toni Erdman”, written and directed by Maren Ade, received the award for Best Screenplay.
In the CineBalkan category, the award for Best Film went to “Quit starring at my plate” by Hana Jusic. This year’s selector of the films in the Official Selection and the category CineBalkan was Bernd Buder.
In addition, there was an award for Best Film in the category Student program, which was awarded to Sandra Jovanovska for the film “Scarecrow Cross”. She is a student at the Arts Academy of the University of Nova Gorica.
The jury consisted of Vlatko Galevski, Ilina Jakimovska and Violeta Karadzovski – Stojanova gave the awards for the best in the competition for film criticism. The first prize went to Frosina Kruskarovska, the second for Vladimir Lazoroski and third to Veronica Kamcevska.
